Perkins
Jen Perkins is a native Ohio artist with a gypsy heart. She moved back to her birth place after 17 years of living abroad in Europe and most recently Portland Oregon. She is married to another artist; they have two children, and live in the historic neighborhood of Five Oaks in Dayton. Her main focus in the arts has been her personal work of mixed media encaustic paintings and commercial murals. She most recently recieved The Montgomery County Artist Opportunity Grant ; which enabled her to travel to Greece to study marble relief carving and plaster and silicon mold making. Her latest series was a collaboration with a marble sculptor. Her art work and mural work has been shown locally ,nationally ,internationally and is part of a numerous permanent collections.
