Perkins

Jen Perkins is a native Ohio artist with a wandering spirit. After 17 years living abroad in Europe and later in Portland, Oregon, she returned to her birthplace of Dayton. She lives in the historic Five Oaks neighborhood with her husband—also an artist—and their two children.

Her practice centers on mixed media encaustic painting and large-scale commercial murals. Perkins was most recently awarded the Montgomery County Artist Opportunity Grant, which supported her travel to Greece to study marble relief carving, plaster work, and silicone mold-making. Her latest body of work was created in collaboration with a marble sculptor.

Her artwork and murals have been exhibited locally, nationally, and internationally, and are included in numerous permanent collections.
